it doesn't happen often, but every once in a while i get the wild hair to bake or cook.  THIS doesn't happen often, so when it does i have to take full advantage.  i usually leave the cooking up to someone much more qualified.  baking is definitely more my jam.  it fulfills my unwavering sweet tooth, as well.  2 birds, one stone.  so, ever since i came across this recipe, i haven't been able to get it off my mind.  obsessing.  waiting for the perfect afternoon to test out "Reese's Peanut Butter Surprise Cookies".  you had me at hello! 

so, i did it.  i made the magical cookies and the beauty of it is it's so simple it should be a sin.  you can follow the recipe above or you can just follow any ol' chocolate chip cookie recipe you have.  the key ingredient, the special sauce if you wish is a mini Reese's Peanut Butter cup.  preheat your oven, whip up your cookie dough batter, unwrap lottsa' peanut butter cups, make two balls of cookie dough and smoosh the peanut butter cup in between.  bake until golden brown, cool (if you possess the patience) & then watch them disappear.
